About the statue:
To kick off this new “Emblem” series, we needed a character we could count on! Chief Vitalstitistix himself describes him as his “most reliable” warrior, so there’s no hesitation: Asterix will be our standard-bearer!
I let myself be guided by this splendid drawing by Uderzo, whose strength I rediscover with wonder every time, and I took immense pleasure in sculpting him, firmly planted on his two legs and beaming with the honour of being so distinguished, irreducible among all the irreducibles!
Once in your home, in a place worthy of his reputation, he’ll send you all the optimism and good humour he’s known for – guaranteed effect!
